Concepted as both an ode to his culinary experience in Barcelona and a celebration of his personality, Streetsense helped bring Chef Johnny Spero’s second restaurant to life in the Capital Crossing development in Washington, DC. The interior design is structured yet playful, sophisticated and warm, distinguishing itself from the stark modern shell it inhabits. The entry sequence is cleverly carved out of the split-level site to position the sunken bar for a grand entry into the lofty space, and a wood-fired hearth provides warmth and ambience from the open kitchen.
